Prenatal fitness provides a wonderful source of relief from common pregnancy discomforts such as back pain, muscle tension and heartburn.
Using breath and gentle stretches, this class helps you to prepare for the challenges of labor and to support personal empowerment and connection to your baby
What is Prenatal Fitness?
Prenatal Fitness utilizes instinctive movement, yoga, breathing, and meditation to help ease pregnancy, delivery, and the after effects of birth.
The classes creates strength, focus, flexibility and awareness through a gentle practice designed especially for the pregnant woman's needs.
Classes provide a safe, peaceful and supportive environment for expectant mothers and are a wonderful way to connect with other mothers-to-be.
This 6 week video based class is lead by childbirth educator and doula, Brandy Astwood of Motherlode Holistic Connection and is free thanks to funding from Amador First 5 and sponsorship by the Mothers Club of Amador County

Starting in October 2010, Mary~Sevika Hackworth, RN, IYT of Sierra Wholitic & Healing Arts will be offering a 6 week prenatal yoga program.
Our 6 week Prenatal Yoga, Program prepares you the expectant mama both physically and emotionally for the miracle of childbirth.
Classes are structured to help you feel comfortable with the enormous changes you are experiencing.
Yoga postures are modified to accommodate a your growing belly and to keep you in shape throughout pregnancy.
The classes also consist of meditation and breathing techniques to help you stay calm and centered during this exciting, but challenging time
Its never too early or too late to join.
